Sir Galahad had no shield. Went to a white abbey and met four knights. Heard about a cursed shield that kills the bearer within three days. At the altar was a shield as white as snow, with a red cross in the middle.

"this shield can be hung round no Knight's neck unless he be the worthiest Knight in the world, and therefore I counsel you to be well advised!"

The King Bagdemagus took it, and was taken down by a white knight that had a squire return it to Galahad. The white knight told his the shield's story. He used it to confront a foul fiend that claimed he saw angels around Galahad.

His new squire, Sir Melias, was wounded as he didn't come clean to the quest of the Grail as Galahad had. He ran into Lancelot and Percival and bested them.

Lancelot saw a sign of -- a fair altar covered with a silken cloth and a candlestick which had six branches, all of shining silver.

Then a sick knight was healed from by Lancelot's vision, though Lancelot could not follow what he knew was the grail due to his sins.

"Sir Lancelot, more hard than is the stone, more bitter than is the wood, more naked and barren than is the leaf of the fig tree, art thou; therefore, go from hence and withdraw thee from this holy place."

Lancelot was not worthy.

Sir Percivale was out on his own for adventure. He kept loosing to a knight. A woman promised him a horse, black and wonderful. He made friends with a lion by fighting a serpent for it.

Lancelot found out that Galahad was his son, chosen by Merlin as the best knight in the world. He sided with black knights (sinners) against white (the holy prepared to find the grail). A nun warned him of his potential strength but warned him of his vain-glory and pride.
